Mission — Issue 14 / The Biodiversity Issue – Human and Nature.
Mission magazine, a cultural intelligence platform explores the intersection of fashion, music, art, youth culture and global issues. Through editorial, immersive experiences and collaborations, Mission engages a new generation in the conversations shaping the future.
Our new Spring/Summer 2026 issue, Human + Nature, guest edited by David de Rothschild, explores the planet and the interconnectedness of all life. Across more than 350 pages, the issue raises awareness around the urgent environmental and social challenges shaping our future, while celebrating the voices, ideas and individuals driving meaningful change.
Featuring contributions and powerful interviews with creatives and cultural voices including Es Devlin, Sir John Akomfrah, Doris Salcedo, Chiharu Shiota, Refik Anadol, sound artists Alice Boyd and Sam Lee, alongside underwater explorer Sarah Teng. The issue also includes our informative A–Z series featuring notable figures such as Billie Eilish, Chris Martin, Massive Attack, The 1975 and Rem Koolhaas.
Alongside pages of fashion imagery from emerging creatives at the beginning of their careers, the issue also features Willow Williams and Jordan Dean Schneider’s uplifting and intimate cover story, In Harmony, exploring the coexistence between humans and animals.
As Mikaela Loach expresses in her interview No To Single Issue Politics, “If we can’t imagine the future, we’re not able to make it.”

The premise is straightforward — raise the volume on the voices most often talked over — and the editorial range is the title's strength. Mission sits a little outside the standard fashion magazine register, holding fashion, beauty, music, technology and philanthropy in the same conversation. Semi-annual; UK cover price £15.
